A list of the 20 most beautiful islands has been published on the newspaper Evening Standard https://www.standard.co.uk/escapist/best-greek-islands-holidays-lesser-known-a3869661.html. “Crystal-clear waters, sun, souvlaki and a different side of Greece away from the crowds” promises the travel journalist Laura Hampson, choosing 20 of the 227 inhabited Greek islands. Naxos is at the top of this list, with its exotic beaches and unique historic monuments.
“There is already interest from travelers from abroad. We are bringing Naxos in the spotlight, topping the list internationally. Secluded beaches, local products and activities in the pure nature of the island have brought Naxos on top”, stated the Vice-Mayor for Tourism of the Municipality of Naxos and Small Cyclades Mr. Vangelis Katsaras.
