Every year on July 16, the eve of Agia Marina Day, vespers service is held at the church, while on the day itself, July 17, a procession with icons takes place around the village alleys.
A major feast follows. Lasting until the morning hours, it features live traditional violin-led music at the village cafes, and often at the village square. It is said that in the prewar years, the square was flooded by the sounds of violins playing from seven different spots around the square. Local delicacies and a plentiful supply of superb red wine hailing from Naxos’s upland region, add to the joy of this annual occasion..
