Agios Nikolaos, the oldest church in the village of Agios Arsenios on Naxos, built on a hilltop on the western side of the settlement before 1660, houses some rare relics.
The middle of three aisles is dedicated to Panagia (Virgin Mary), the one on the left to Agios Nikolaos and the one on the right to Agii Anargyri.
It features lintels and coats of arms, while the wood-carved iconostatis, the icons, the ecclesiastical utensils and the holy books of Panagia Agersaniotissa are all unique and priceless and considered museum items.
