This is a sea cave of special natural beauty and a sanctuary of the Mediterranean seal (monachus monachus). It is located at the steep Cape Moschonas (Cavo Moschona), on the island’s eastern coast.
It is a huge triangular opening in the rock, 40m wide and 10m high, with walls adorned with coral-like formations and crystal-clear blue waters. It was a pirate hideout in the Middle Ages.
