The church of Panagia-Ai Giannis on Donoussa, is an uncommon architectural combination of two basilicas under a single bell, dominating a hilltop east of the settlement of Stavros. The chapel of Panagia (Virgin Mary) was built first at the end of the 19th century while Ai Giannis (Agios Ioannis) was added adjacently later. The church celebrates with a big fete on August 15.
