The church of Agia Sophia on Donoussa, is a whitewashed church with a blue dome. The church, atop a hill with a breathtaking view, is located just outside the Merssini settlement. It was built after World War II and lies adjacent to the island’s small cemetery. It holds its annual celebration on September 17.
