The Church of Isodia Theotokou, in the village of Panagia, is the island’s largest and hosts most christenings and weddings.
The stone-built church began being constructed in 1919 but only acquired its present form, with new additions, in recent years.
Feasts are organized in the courtyard on Virgin Mary’s two major holy days, August 15 and November 21, and food is offered to everyone.
