The Naxos Festival, one of the summer event highlights, is held between July and September. Since 2001, the Naxos Festival has served as a cultural meeting point for Greek and foreign artists of various disciplines.
The festival’s events — including exhibitions, concerts, theater and dance — are primarily held near the village of Damarionas, at the Bazeos Tower-Τimios Stavros Monastery a restored monument on the Naxosmainland that belongs to the Bazeos family and other venues throughout the island such as the Temple of Dionysus at Yria; one of the most important sanctuaries of ancient Naxos.
